Have you ever taken a personal inventory of how you spend your time, talent and resources? Have you ever wished you could somehow find a way to squeeze a couple extra hours into any given day to check a few more items off that ever growing list? As we read about Jesus feeding the five thousand in Matthew 14, Jesus made a simple request to His disciples to feed the hungry. As they discovered they only had five loaves and two fish, Jesus told them “Bring them here to me.” In other words, give me everything you have. What follows is a God sized miracle. He blesses the food, everyone eats and “they picked up 12 baskets full of leftover pieces!” God can use whatever we are willing to give Him regardless of how small we think it might be. Whether it is our time, talent or resources, we quickly discover He is the Great Multiplier and it is impossible to out give our God. What a tremendous blessing!
“You can if you think you can. As you think, so shall it be. Then think you can and you can, indeed.” (Positive Thinking Every Day by Norman Vincent Peale)
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free.” (Gal. 5:1)
“God’s story has implicated us, and now we understand why we exist, who we are, and how we get to live.” (Transformed: A New Way Of Being Christian by Caesar Kalinowski)
This song points us towards the world’s greatest hope. There is a God who stays with us and won’t let go.
No Hopeless Soul - Stephen Stanley
“Oh, there ain’t no lost cause
No one’s too far gone
Don’t you know
There ain’t no hopeless soul
You still belong to
The God who stays with you
He won’t let go
There ain’t no hopeless soul”
Have a great evening!
