It is amazing how quickly things can change in a few generations. After Cain killed Abel, several years would go by before Adam and Eve would have another child named Seth. It wasn’t until Seth had a son called Enosh that Genesis 4:26 says “At that time people began to call on the name of Yahweh.” When we fast forward to Noah’s generation, the earth was so wicked “only one man and his family still worshipped God.” As we all know, everyone laughed at Noah and his crazy ark as it was being built and in the end, they all perished in the great flood except Noah and his family. Today “there are an estimated 2.2 billion Christians in the world, which makes Christianity the largest religion on the planet." From Noah and his family we now have an estimated 2.2 billion Christians worldwide in our current generation. Praise the Lord! Imagine the capacity we have in this generation to love God and others by sharing the good news.
“Cultivate will power, that massive creative force that God the creator built into you. Do not let it remain flabby but strengthen it by use and exercise.” (Norman Vincent Peale: Positive Thinking Every Day)
“Sow a thought and you reap an action; sow an act and you reap a habit; sow a habit and you reap a character; sow a character and you reap a destiny.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
This songs reminds us we were purchased and worth it. So let’s find our groove through Him and help change the world!
“Look at you Shiny and new Look at you You got the proof of purchase You were purchased ‘Cause you're worth it Look at you Finding your groove Don’t you dare think That you're not worth it. ‘Cause you're worth it Yeah you're worth it”
Have a great weekend!
