Exhausted? Experiencing depersonalization? Feeling like you are not making any progress? Lost your mojo? If you are checking all these boxes, I have some encouraging news for you. In Matthew 28:20, before Jesus ascended into heaven, He told his disciples “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Having someone that sticks by your side is critical to overcoming obstacles. When that person happens to be the Son of God, well, that is a pretty big deal. Psalm 36:7 says “Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.” There couldn’t be a better place to be in times of difficulty. He reminds us “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Rev. 3:20). When we open that door, we embark on an exciting adventure that will last for eternity.
“Let the challenges of your ambitions, of your aspirations, rouse your slumbering and often unused powers into action” (Positive Thinking Every Day by Norman Vincent Peale)
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
This song brings to mind several reasons to be joyful every morning. Alive, breathing and Good News worth repeating are three things that should put a smile on our faces when welcoming a new day.
Alive & Breathing - Matt Maher
“Joy still comes in the morning Hope still walks with the hurting If you're still alive and breathing Praise the Lord Don't stop dancing and dreaming There's still Good News worth repeating So lift your head and keep singing Praise the Lord”
Have a great evening!
