It is truly amazing what can be accomplished by taking one step at a time. From putting together Walmart or Ikea furniture to a surgeon performing heart surgery, we complete all our tasks one step at a time. Just think of Rome being built one brick at a time. On the highest level, there are steps we can take to be obedient to God and open to His calling on our life. In Psalm 37:5-7 it says “Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him...” Committing and trusting are steps that lead to one of the greatest verses in the Bible. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1)
“Journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” (Ancient Chinese Proverb)
“We continue to walk in his ways with others in community, in regular life, comparing and contrasting gospel truth to any and every area of sin or unbelief in our lives.” (Transformed: A New Way of Being Christian by Caesar Kalinowski)
This song reminds us of the power of continuing to move forward and believing He isn’t finished with us yet. Let’s hold onto His precious promises!
“(Lift up your head now) Keep walkin' soldier keep movin' on
(Lift up your head now) Keep walkin' until the mornin' comes
(Keep believin') Keep walkin' soldier keep movin' on
And lift your head, it ain't over yet, ain't over yet"
Have a great day!
