The ability to hold fast, remain determined and even unyielding is not for the faint of heart. Joshua in the Old Testament knew a thing or two about holding fast. After all, he was in the desert for 40 years before saying goodbye to Moses. He proceeded to lead the Israelites into the promised land at an estimated age of between 68-78 years old. In Joshua 22:5 we learn some valuable advice from this mighty warrior. He says “But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the LORD gave you: to love the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul." Every day we awaken there is a new opportunity to live life to the fullest by following his advice which ends with walking with God and serving Him with everything we got.
