As we head into the New Year, some people might be asking themselves "Does anyone really care about me?" If that is how you sometimes feel, I have wonderful news for you! Someone does not only care but also completely understands what you are going through. Hebrews 4:15-16 says "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time."
We can be confident we are not alone because of a simple fact. It is impossible for God to lie. "That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us" (Hebrews 6:18). What better way to head into the New Year than knowing ""Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God" (Psalm 146:5).
"He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler" (Psalm 91:4)
"Look for Christ and you will find Him, and with Him everything else thrown in" (C.S. Lewis)
Have a great day!
