The world is broken. That wouldn’t come as a surprise to most people. The question we each have to answer is why is the world broken. The Bible tells us the answer in Romans 3:23 when it says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” We are born into a broken world and each of us suffer with a sin problem which goes all the way back to Adam and Eve. The Bible says “There is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin.” So how do we fix this sin problem? This is where Jesus enters the picture. He was the perfect sacrifice for all of our sins and through Him alone we can have complete forgiveness and newness of life.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10: 9-10)
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
This past Saturday morning I met a good friend for breakfast at Stafford Bar-B-Que in King that is a missionary in Winston-Salem. After breakfast we watched this video in his car on what it means to hold a Christian Worldview. It is less than 10 minutes long and does a fantastic job of explaining a Christian vs a Non-Christian worldview. It answers the basic fundamental question of what is wrong with the world and how to fix it.
